Had a central A/C fail late night and saw this on my Sense monitor. Symptoms were not cooling, recovery indication on the Honeywell thermostat and the compressor fan not spinning. Tried shutting off and on but same symptoms and after seeing the spike to 16k watts I decided to have the A/C tech do their diagnosis.
He found that the fan capacitor was shorted preventing the spin up of the fan.
