Remote sensors for 240V

For some time on this community, I’ve heard people requesting a device that would measure the consumption of 220 volt appliances in the way that Kasa smart plugs measure energy of 110 volt devices. For people who say there is no such device, I have good news. Today I ran across such a device, and it appears to be in production as an off-the shelf item. Check it out!

This device is intended to permit EV charger installation on the same breaker as another 220V device, such as your existing clothes dryer. Purchase of this device is cost effective if it saves you from updating your panel box that has run out of space. For people in this situation, the energy monitoring is a bonus to the stated purpose.

Now the bad news. For people who have not run out of space in their panel box, this device is probably too expensive as it costs over $400. I have not tried to determine if it has an API which would allow integration with Sense via Home Assistant.
