How much Bandwidth does Sense really consume?

Internet Data usage - 1.79Gb Uploaded in under 3 weeks

Hi folks, Finally got some free time and switched to Unifi routers. Deep Packet inspection shows: 125Mb Down 1.79Gb Up to Amazon (assuming your server infrastructure is on AWS). This is from the last 2.5 weeks. Is this expected behaviour?

@james_reilley, This is just speculation based on my experiences plus a view of what’s exposed via Sense. I think there are really two levels of ML inference going on with Sense, one that relies integrally on the Sense monitor and another that relies solely on the mothership. One foundational thought - due to limited home upstream data rates, the Sense monitor can’t send all the 4M samples/sec the monitor is capable of back the the Sense mothership. One more thought on sampling as well - there are actually 4 or 6 values sampled via the Sense monitor 2 voltages and 2 or 4 currents via CTs. The unless you are having bad spike problems that would be detected by the Sense Labs detectors, the voltage changes “slowly and predictably”.
