Stock Tank Heaters

I run several stock tank heaters at my ranch in (very cold) central BC. The heaters were adding $300+ / month to my electric bill. Sense helped me cut that number by more than $50 / month - two of the heaters were running constantly, i.e., the thermostats weren’t working. I’m hoping to drive the cost even lower. Any suggestions, ideas would be much appreciated . . . . For now, I’m going to try different brands and track them for improvements.

Welcome to the community @matthew.r.harris

One way is to use thermostatically controlled receptacles. I use Inkbird for another reason but the principle is the same. You set the temperature you want to maintain to whatever you want or the range you want.
Here is the one I use

I also encourage you to visit the “Sense Saves” website and submit you story.
