Hi folks - here’s a suggestion. Archive your Sense data every year via the web app. I do, via the Dashboard > View Detailed Dashboard. I just set the Year configuration, move to 2025, then Export in Hourly format.
Once I Export, I tend to do a few things to check the archived data. The first thing I do is a combined “missing data” and accuracy check against my utility net meter. The chart below shows the result.
- Very good correlation between Sense net (Usage - Solar) vs PG&E net (my utility)
- One missing 15 minute data point from PG&E that screwed that visibly spoils accuracy.
Next I look at daily solar output over the year. That shows that my solar panels seem to be doing fine, plus show the maximum envelope for a year. It also shows the relative number of cloudy days at different times throughout the year.
Lastly, I look at hourly solar production over the course of each day.
