my internet provider accidentally disconnected my service this morning while working on the pole. they’re not going to get back out here until tomorrow or the next day to fix it. how many hours of data does Sense store when disconnected from the internet?
Depending on which FAQ and which forum thread you read, the answer varies between 6 and 8 hours.
See this response from RyanAtSense from September of last year when he stated a 6 hour buffer.
What I’ve done when experiencing problems from my ISP is to use my phones LTE service and “personal hotspot”.
I just change the WiFi in Sense to my phones hotspot while in range to minimize data loss. I’ve had to do this for days at a time due to poor service.
Sense will retain data for 6 hours. After this 6 hour period, Sense will attempt to reboot. On reboot, the RAM will clear and that data will be lost.
I’ve just had that happen to me, bit gutted to lose all of the data for the day… If not offering details, it should at least keep track of the aggregate…

You may not have lost as much as it appears. When these dropouts happen it can take some time for Sense to backfill the data.
Indeed, I got some of the data back… It seem to get all of the usage data for the day but only the last few hours for the solar…
Anyhow, that’s alright, I don’t my a bit of underestimation for the solar…
