My AC was detected but a mystery “Motor 1” was also detected. This mystery device I finally figured out is associated with my AC. It comes on at the exact same time as the AC but it only runs for 1-3 seconds and shuts off. Only at the start of the AC. It only uses about .1 kWh of energy.
Any idea what it is? I’ve grouped it with my AC but would like to know specifically what it is.
I have a mystery device at my house too. I have a device that draws 587Watts constant for almost 13 minutes and it runs every 12 hours approx. The device is sense identified as a heating device but I cannot figure out what this thing is. I’ve been trying to figure out what it is for several months now. So approximately every 12 hours this thing turns on for about 13 minutes. such a puzzle
@scott.doyle, This could be the startup spike/surge of energy needed to get the equipment spinning and working at normal operating speed. For example, MachoDrone installed Sense in January… Sense never found the furnace for our home because we used a wood burner until February and then had a warm few weeks. I didn’t use my electric furnace until last week of Feb… But Sense DID find the startup signature… And now as this is being written, I see out also correlates to my AC startup… Which in the pic below you can see my AC wasn’t operating until Memorial Day and the startup signature is lower powered than the electric furnace was. The whole AC system had not been found yet… It runs a lot. I mean, embarrassingly a lot. Like I better replace my windows, attic, doors, and the whole house.
This AC startup signature is a lot like the beginning of a fridge signature (3rd pic)
