This is interesting. So the average power usage with nothing running. (besides always on and other) was about 200 Watts. Power went out for an hour. I was not home when the outage started, and I am still at work. Why would the power usage decrease so much after the outage. what might have turned off? the Microwave, stove, thermostat, alarm clock, router, modem… all these things should have turned back on. my laptop which runs 24/7 plugged in didn’t turn off. I can check that, via Splashtop, remotely.
The only thing that I can think of that will have shut off and stay off, is my desktop. I guess it could have been using +/- 120 W…
I’ve only been running it for the last 2 weeks. so I guess it hasn’t been long enough to fall under always on… though always on has gone up in the last 2 weeks.
