Some techniques for doing apples-to-apples correlation between Sense and your Cleco smart meter.
You just installed your Sense and you are raring to see it start detecting devices in your house. The first question that many users ask while waiting for that first detection is “How do I convince myself that the Sense numbers are accurate (or figure out that you have a cheating utility company) ?” This is a short primer on ways to double check the basic numbers coming out of your Sense.

Plus some of thee reasons that Sense doesn’t initially match up - look for the comparisons with “after” in the first columns. Those were all cases where the numbers initially didn’t match up.
Here’s a quick overview of many Sense measurement comparisons vs. different utilities’ metering systems. In all of these, Sense has proven to be quite accurate, though not necessarily at first. A number of them started out with large errors (the ones with the word “after” in their description), but eventually yielded very positive comparisons.
