Check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks!
To answer your question:
I put in my username / password for TP link, save, and then it redirects to the same page and gives no visual indication that the credentials saved.
At this time that is the expected functionality. Your credentials are recognized and if you have any compatible plugs they should ideally come up. With that said if you notice any exceptions let me know.
@Drosoph , that seems very strange. Do you have some working “older” Sense-supported Kasa plugs that are reporting OK ? Are your new plugs reporting into the Kasa app ?
If both of those are true, and you have enough tech literacy, you might try this utility. You’ll need to run it from a PC/Mac/Server that is on the same IP subnet as your smart plugs and Sense.
Any way to add Tapo P210M to the list of supported devices? Currently, as far as I know, there are no real outlets integrating with Sense - P210M would be best to replace regular outlets and eliminate the bulky plug-ins like EP25?
The P210M might work already. Some Tapo models work with Sense but are not “supported by Sense” - in other words, we haven’t verified that they work. If you have any P210Ms on hand, give them a shot and report back!
In the meantime, I will look into getting some P210Ms on our side to test with. If it works, I will have our team update the list of supported devices.
I do have the P210M installed and connected to the network. The plug is listed on my TP-Link account, yet it does not appear as a device in Sense. I do have other TP-Link devices (KP115 and EP25) that Sense does detect.
I confirmed this on our side as well; we don’t yet support the P210M. I’ll make sure that we have a ticket internally to track support for it, and hopefully we can bring support to a future software version. Sorry about that.
