To improve the user experience, I think it would be good to add some base information to the visible “bubbles”. The “Now” screen should serve as a real time Executive Summary of the user’s electrical activity.
In addition to the Device Name, bubbles should contain the following:
Actual Watts - Already present on the “Devices” screen, which makes it easy to display on visible bubbles.
Percentages - Dynamically compute and display actual values, comparative to total active used wattage.
I’d be more than happy to post a marked-up example, if desired.
The Now screen for the web app already has wattage in the bubbles, plus also Always On info for devices on smartplugs… No percentages yet. I kind of see the web app as the a bit more capable for power users…
Thanks… I’ll simply wait until the mobile platform receives the same/similar feature update. Personally, I really haven’t utilized the web-client application.
Note that the bubbles do have watts if you tap them, and they also show their Always On contributions, too. They (clearly intentionally) simplify when in their untapped state, and after a timeout.
