Odd Dryer/Oven Conflation

I have an odd detection issue I’m curious to get some insights on.

My Sense recently detected my Dryer, but it only picks up the heating element on one cycle (I think Permanent Press)

If I run it on the Delicates cycle, it thinks part of the usage is my oven.

If you look at the picture, you can see the oven on/off signals at ~1,400 watts, but you can see in the chart that the spikes from the dryer usage are nearly ~6,000 watts.

Any insights here? I’d really like to get a good reliable read on both my dryer and oven, as those are two of the larger energy users in the house.

I would look really closely at your delicate cycle dryer on and off waveforms to see what the first couple seconds look like. It may be that it has some kind of controlled heat ramp, that looks like a 1400W on transition when viewed with a 1/2 to 1 second time window.
