Update for Schneider Electric Customers in the Sense Community

Hi, I’m posting this statement on behalf of Sense.

As part of Schneider Electric’s ongoing transition to the new Schneider Home experience, we wanted to share a few important updates to help ensure clarity during this period of change, especially for those of you who originally came in through the Wiser/Sense integration.

What’s happening?
Schneider Electric is moving forward with a new app and ecosystem under the Schneider Home umbrella. As part of that transition, certain support, servicing, and product communications will begin shifting away from the Sense platform and directly into Schneider’s own support and communication channels.

What does this mean for you?

  • As their app highlights, your monitor is still “Powered by Sense”. We continue to provide the underlying technology that enables device detection and energy insights. Now those insights are delivered through Schneider’s new app experience.

  • If you originally joined through Schneider Electric / Wiser and now use the Schneider Home app, please begin looking to Schneider support and FAQs for product-specific updates and troubleshooting.

  • The Sense Help Center will continue to provide information strictly related to **Sense hardware, Sense apps, and Sense-branded experiences.
    **

  • To avoid confusion and ensure you receive the most accurate information, we’ll be linking directly to Schneider Electric’s most up-to-date FAQ and transition resources rather than referencing them in our articles.

I am probably one of the oldest customer of Sense and one of the first to have started here with the product wish list, etc. I feel extremely saddened now with how I got pushed into SE and the SE app completely destroys the great user experience and data points I was used to measuring and monitoring.

Just wondering other than purchasing a brand new SENSE unit is there any possible way I can continue to leverage the Sense app instead of this God Forsaken SE app? Can something be done to help this old hand out?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience caused or upset feelings. If you no longer want to use the Schneider app and want to get the same Sense experience, the only way to really do that is to buy a Sense monitor. Please be aware that when doing this, it will be like you started a new account, and no previous data will be transferred over.

SE is working to improve their UI and Energy Monitoring features, so you could also consider just holding onto it and giving it a chance and seeing how it grows in the future.

Thanks for your understanding, though. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

It seems SE released this now 3 months and as per Reddit there’s been zero effort from their end to do anything. The app of theirs is useless as doesn’t even track anymore usage. As for replacing with Sense I thought being one of the oldest customers which means took a huge risk especially when AI wasn’t even main stream I would at least get a discounted offer. Seems that won’t be the case.

I’m just a user, but I’m pretty sure that the green monitors didn’t start shipping until 2019, 2-3 years after the original Sense kickstarter product. So maybe not as early a user as you might have thought.

I am saying GREEN because its easier to explain here. I was part of Sense Kick starter - yes and remember being “Early Bird” even.

@baivab.mitra, gotcha. So the SE green one was a replacement or a second unit.
