Hello,

I got an email (content shown below). What the heck is this? I don’t recall ever hearing about this nor agreeing to anything? Is there new HW I need to get etc etc

Thank you for your willingness to support our device detection research! After reviewing your home’s energy data, our team believes you’d be a great fit for this effort.

To verify your eligibility, please complete this form. If selected, we’ll send you a pair of free Sense Flex sensors to install which will provide more detailed energy measurements for one or more devices relevant to our research.

What to Expect:

• Install the sensors within 4 weeks of receiving them.

• Set up monitoring on your circuit by following the Installation Guide: Sense with Dedicated Circuit Monitoring.

• After 12 months, our research will be complete, and you’re free to move the sensors to another circuit of your choice.

They sent me a similar email. It is an invitation to participate in an optional program that gives them high quality field data and gives you a pair of Flex sensors. These sensors go in the same port as solar clamps, so people who measure solar are ineligible. If you don’t want to participate, then simply do nothing. If you don’t fill out their form, you won’t be enrolled.

I got an email also. It asked me if I had a subpanel, I do. I’m assuming that disqualified me.
