Repurposed one of my CT’s for my new Heat Pump.
I used the app to change the CT’s from each monitoring a 120v circuit (“Garage & outside lights” and “Pool Pump”) to one on a 120v circuit “Garage & outside lights” and the other on the 120/240v “heat pump”. Essentially resetting the CT’s.
That created a second device called “Garage & outside lights” and both the new lights and Heat Pump initially displayed and reported as they should.
That was until I told Sense the old (inactive) “Garage & outside lights”, “is being monitored by this” (the new “Garage & outside lights”) thinking it would merge the history.
After that the (new) “Garage & outside Lights” bubble only appeared on the web app. The bubble didn’t appear in the mobile app. The mobile app device level reported it was off when it was really on.
So I unlinked the two “Garage & outside lights”.
Somehow that caused the CT for my “Heat Pump” not to report anything on either web or mobile.
but the “Garage & outside lights” bubble still appeared only on the web app. Neither the lights or HP is reporting to either the overall timeline or the device timeline on either the web or mobile app.
I reset cache on both and power cycled the monitor.
This is really strange.
I’m going to try resetting the CT’s again and see what happens…
*update I reset the CT’s again and they are back to displaying and reporting as they should.
Deleted the first “Heat Pump” and named new one “HP”.
Kept the first “Garage & outside lights” for it’s history, deleted the second one and named the new one “Garage Lights”.
Apparently telling Sense an inactive CT is bring monitored by an active CT really screws things up.
