For the Sense geeks

My dryer just went out at 3:55 central time, if you want to look at the signature you are welcome to it. If you can tell anything. Sense has detected heating element but not the motor that turned the drum. I think the motor may have burned up so my info may not be helpful.

Becky,

Dryer drum motors do fail, and they can be replaced to get more life from your dryer. However, a more common failure is the belt that turns the dryer. With sense data, you might be able to tell it a new dryer will save you elec. usage.

It is a bummer to have a key appliance fail.

Good luck.

we recently replaced the belt and tightened everything up. I’m guess that the new belt, etc… is what burned up the motor. I’m breaking it all down today so i’ll know in a couple hours what actually failed.
