Sense wants to work with you to make this a great place for discussion!
- Follow best practices. If it’s a bug, please contact Sense Support. Search before you post. And be sure to “like” or comment on postings you find interesting.
- Be respectful. Always treat others with respect, even if you disagree or are frustrated. We want to foster an environment where everyone feels welcome to share relevant information. No name-calling, offensive language, personal attacks or inflammatory remarks. No otherwise inappropriate behavior. If you see something you think we should moderate, please Flag it. Don’t reply to it. The moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time.
- Be welcoming. We’re all here to listen to each other and to help each other learn and succeed. As a community, we welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes members of any race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, color, immigration status, social and economic class, educational level, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.
- Be proactive. Please contribute to discussions. Offer help or resources when you have something to add. Offer questions when you have those. Encourage and support other members.
- Be constructive. Offer feedback in a way that is helpful, not harmful. Focus on solutions and positive outcomes. Criticism (whether directed towards Sense or other uses) is fine and important, but criticize constructively. This is a forum devoted to productive discussion and mutual (especially person-to-person) help. All posts should add to the discussion. Communicate with a moderator (James or Kevin) to report or seek help resolving a conflict.
- Stay relevant. Keep the focus of a discussion on your topic. Post in the correct category, as an organized forum benefits everybody. Put yourself in the other member’s shoes: If I were searching for an answer to a similar question, could I easily find your post?
- Be descriptive. Include any relevant information in your question so you can get the most out of the community. App screenshots are encouraged!
- Be safe. If you access Sense using a monitor installed in your electrical panel, consult a licensed and trusted electrician as the final word for any installation advice and troubleshooting.
- Avoid spam. Look for previous discussions so we can avoid rehashing the same material. Avoid cross-posting the same content across multiple threads. And please avoid no-content replies (example: instead of replying “Agreed” or “+1,” use the Like button).
- Keep private information private. Do not share private information about other members on this forum. Do not share private information or screenshots from your Support tickets, including names and contact information of Support agents, or of other Sense employees. They are doing their best to help you.
- Share your solutions. Occasionally you may post a problem and find your own solution before anyone else. In those cases, it is helpful if you also post a follow-up that shares your solution. Odds are others will experience similar issues and will be grateful to find your solution.
This site is operated by friendly volunteers and Sense employees and you, the community. If you have any further questions about how things should work here, open a new topic or contact a Community moderator via the staff page.
