Mystery Notification

I’ve noticed a notification badge show on the Sense app indicating a new alert/notification. When I open the app, nothing shows what that notification is/was tied to. I’ve gone through every single device in the device list several times and none of them have the notification section turned on.

I did have two devices set to alert when it turns on & off, but turned off that alert several days ago.

I can’t find what the notification was for. And, after I open the app and close it, the notification goes away. But, for some reason, it’ll randomly show back up.

Not sure what to do at this point.

Additional information.

I just signed on to the Sense web app on my computer and under the “Now” section, there is a news section that shows my weekend usage. This news section doesn’t show on the phone app. Since this is the only thing that I can find that is different, I’m guessing this is what caused the alert this time, but I don’t know for sure.

You are right: once inside the app, there is absolutely no way to tell what that notification was. My solution is to go into device settings on my phone and turn on Banner Style notifications. With banner style notifications, I can read a text description of the alert under Notification Center before opening the Sense app. If I forget and open the app before reading the alert, I’m out of luck because the text description disappears from Notification Center when I open the app. I even asked support once, but they had no record of alerts generated by their app.

I’m having a similar problem, I just open the app to check on power consumption or solar generation and when I go back to the springboard the app is showing a notification badge, I have to open the app again and click on a couple of tabs then close it and then the notification disappear. But this started when I updated to iOS 18 on my iPhone 15 Pro. Really annoying
