Their appears to be a bug where Philips Hue devices are no longer having their ‘off’ events enumerated in the timeline log for the device or by scrolling the ‘Now’ view.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Other devices including the TPLink plugs are unaffected.
No idea when it started but it’s been the case for a awhile from the looks of it.
Hi @surias.0 I appreciate your observation. I can partially confirm it. Ten of my lights display off events in the time log, while four do not. The four that do not are all set up in the Philips app as rooms with multiple bulbs. The ten that do are all set up with just one bulb per room.
I also just noticed now that the integration status tracking is completely non-functional if the lights are in a room with a motion sensor or motion sensor group. Neither ON nor OFF events are registered in the history anymore if they’re from motion.
At this rate, with everything that doesn’t work, the development on this integration being effectively frozen now for several years, and the reality that Philips Hue is continually rolling out new products and features, its looking like this integration is effectively obsolescent. Maybe the ecosystem around SENSE as a whole is functionally EOL given the pivot the CEO recently announced. I can’t remember the last time major feature or product improvements were released.
Its been a good run but I guess its time to look for something new.
@surias.0 , are your motion sensor lights in rooms with multiple bulbs? I have two motion sensor lights, and the one that has a single bulb still record both OFF and ON, while the other which has two bulbs only records ON events.
