Saying goodby

Today, after five years, I’m saying goodby to Sense.

It wasn’t by choice. Three days ago, my sense just up and died on me. Surprisingly, it doesn’t show any signs of flameout as others have reported before. But it died nonetheless – no network, no bluetooth.

I reached out to Sense to inquire about a replacement and received a simple response pointing me the December announcement. Not unexpected, but still disappointing.

Time moves on. I had an electrician out this morning to wire a new solution. While I’ve lost insight into many things, I finally got local reporting for mains and solar.

Anyway, I would like the thank all those who I interacted with over the years. You all were great. I’d particularly like to call out @kevin1, who is tireless in helping and educating people.

Thank you all!

Sorry to hear the sad news of your Sense’s demise ! Good luck with the new solutions. Thanks for the kudos and all your technical wisdom over the past few years. Also appreciated your “dpinger” utility for Ubiquiti.

Thanks. If I were still in MP I would suggest getting together for coffee or a drink.

I’m glad you like dpinger – there are several million copies of it running in the world now. :tada:

Same -Product doesn’t work now and no offer of any replacement of discount on one…. will be looking for other solutions.

Come on Sense y’all gotta get back in the game and get us a new generation with battery, solar and generator monitoring. I’d upgrade in a heartbeat.

So sorry yours died. I’d be devastated.
