Change can bring questions. We get that. And if you’re a Sense monitor customer, the most important thing to know is this: we’re here, and we’re staying with you.

As Sense continues to evolve, our commitment to existing monitor customers remains the same. You can expect ongoing support, continued updates, and the same reliable insights you use to understand and manage energy in your home.

Below, we’ve answered some of the most common questions we’ve been hearing. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, our Support team is always ready to help.


Will there still be support?

Yes, Sense will continue to fully support existing monitor customers.

Our Customer Support team remains available to help with troubleshooting, questions, and warranty-related issues. Software updates, security patches, device detection, and energy reporting will also continue as usual, so your experience stays consistent and dependable. If something feels unclear or you just want a second set of eyes, we’re happy to help.

Can Sense still provision new accounts for previously purchased devices?

Yes. Sense can still provision new accounts for previously purchased Sense monitors.

If a monitor has been factory reset and is fully functional, a new owner, or the same owner in a new home, can create a new Sense account and set it up normally.

One thing to keep in mind: if a device is resold or gifted, any remaining warranty will no longer apply.

Replacing a Wiser system with a Sense (Orange) monitor?

If you’re swapping out a Wiser system for a Sense (Orange) monitor, you’re still covered.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Sense monitors will continue to work and be supported, even after sales end, and will ensure that your 1-year warranty is honored.

  • New Sense accounts can still be created for previously purchased hardware

  • Firmware updates, device detection, energy insights, and app support will continue

  • If you’re installing in a new panel or setup, we recommend working with a licensed electrician

  • Adding solar, generators, or second panels is still supported, as long as the required CTs are available, either already owned or sourced through a reseller
