APP very glitchy

Several times a day I get the following message: Your system is offline. I send screenshots and error logs to support with no solution. Sometimes rebooting my router works, often not doing anything works as well after an hour or so. Now that summer has arrived my AC is running as well. When the app works it shows the correct usage but I don’t have any balloon like “Other” that shows the usage of my AC. Yet when I charge my EV I do get an “Other” balloon with the usage of charging my EV. Any users out there getting all these strange issues?

It’s because the monitor lost connection to your wifi network. This has nothing to do with low signal either. Mine has been going offline intermittently constantly. Then it’ll stabilize for a few weeks and repeat the same pattern.

Do you have an Asus router? Lots of people have been discussing these disconnections and that seems to be a common factor. So who knows if it’s a bug in DHCP/DNS the old school 2.4ghz implementation on the router side, or if they did something in the Sense monitor firmware that is causing this.

I have had sense for 4+ years and it’s never been an issue up until about 6 months ago… So who knows.

Sense will tell you: “too bad, wait for it to reconnect, nothing we can do”

The good news is, the Sense can store a few hours of granular data, so once it eventually reconnects, it will upload all the usage data to Sense and you will not lose data. Power cycling the device at the breaker usually is the only thing that quickly reconnects it, but will cause a small amount of data loss, so I literally just leave it. I’ve rebooted my router a few times, and it’s a coin toss if it helps or not

As for your Other bubble issue - it’ll take time to identify devices. Some are easier than others. Some will never be found. It’s just how it is. Since their new revenue model is to partner with utilities and integrate their detection data into smart meters, maybe one day those of us early to adopt will see the benefit of all that new training data with better detection.

I have a new WiFi 7 router from Asus model RT-BE92U. The wifi network is an AiMesh network with 3 other Asus routers. Sense is connected to the main router.(RT-BE92U). For the past week it has been more stable and even found a new device my Kia EV charging! Keeping my fingers crossed.

I’m not sure when the new monitor version was released but, I just purchased a new monitor to replace the wiser one i had and it an has ethernet port!

Alot less latency than the old wiser one hooked up via wifi. I don’t care how boomin ones wifi is, I’ll take a wire over wifi when given the choice. :winking_face_with_tongue:

@flipflopkid , send a pic along with the monitor version number (should be on the casing if you haven’t closed up your panel already). Would love to update the chart. And maybe even snag a new one.
