Missing realtime data

The past several days I’ve noticed I can view historical data in the meter but anything realtime in “now” shows the 5 dots on the display. Sometimes it reads it but most of the time it doesn’t.

Anyone else seeing this?

I have started having this issue on both mine, and my wifes Android Phones, everything works perfectly on my PC & Ipad… i can turn my smartplugs on and off, but as you are experiencing, i dont get any realtime usage bubbles, or listing on the device page/power meter

Sounds like this is an old issue resurfacing. I just found another post from 2019 sounds very familiar. Will give it another day or two then see if I can somehow open a ticket with them to look into it.

Just wanted to confirm what I’m seeing. The Now realtime display is stuck on iOS, but works fine on Web App.

iOS

Web App

Realtime Power Meter on iOS seems to be working, though it seems to be updating somewhat sporadically.

But the data seems to be arriving at the mothership.

Seems like this issue is not being picked up by:

I did have this issue over the weekend, but it’s working now. Android

Looks like Now is working again for me.

Today it seems I am also having this issue with the web app, The pages load, but values are static for devices on all pages. I have noticed on android over the last couple days different times it will load and work fine, but then i log in an hour later and Im getting the loading screen again

No change in behavior on my end.

Android version 2025.9 (build 7344) disconnects frequently. Doesn’t display NOW, Meter, or Device tab information.

Android version 2025.1 (build 6475) on a different phone is solid.

As indicated above, web version is also reliable.

Android version not loading again. Web version working fine.
Now - no bubbles or wattage displayed.
Devices - “Connection lost”

When I tap Now, the screen flashes “your system is offline” only for a split second.

Happening when both connected to same network. Or just cell, connection plays no role.

Every so often Now timeline and meter will update, but no bubbles.

@JamesDrewAtSense

Ive been having the same issue on Android for several days. Ive made sure that I have the katest app version. No difference.

I thought the web verion was gone. What is the URL to it?

@joel, Web App link : https://sense.com/consumer-blog/introducing-the-sense-web-app/

Have the same experience on android. Left it running and while reading this thread, it suddenly started working.
Almost feels like reaching a timeout of something and then suddenly it gives the expected view.

Every so often it tries to update, the display freezes, changes color

And then I get the 5 dots again for a few seconds and then works again for a short while

And then history repeats ad infinitum

2 days later same issue

Additional issue. ‘What’s connected to this’ circles doesn’t fill in anymore. It seems that taping on something selects it but have no idea as there is no indication.

New android update for me today, to ver. 2025.9.1 build 7386, didnt fix the issue. I have noted in the last couple days, late in the evening…say around 10pm mst everything seems to load fine on my android device!

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in writing back; I’ve been busy juggling this issue. There is an issue where some Android phones are having problems with real-time data loading. This came out of a larger issue, which we resolved that included realtime usage not working with some iOS devices as well as Android,0 but there were some lingering users and effects that we are investigating now.

This issue is a bit tricky; it is intermittent and only seems to be happening sometimes. This issue also only seems to be happening to a subset of Android users—some but not all. Therefore, it is also possible that some of the fixes may help some users but not others.

I’ll update you when I get more info I can share on this issue.

As a workaround, you can go to home.sense.com where you should be able to view real-time data as expected. Since this issue is also just on Android, if you have an iOS device, such as an iPad, you can view Sense normally there too. I know you shouldn’t need to have an iOS device to use Sense, but this is just a workaround for the meantime.

Thanks again for your patience!

James, thank you for the update. Glad to hear that you are actively working the issue.

I noticed there was a 2059.9.2 update available on Google Play. I loaded it up and things appear to be working normally again.

Thanks again

Hi,

The issue with the real-time outage should be resolved. If you haven’t already, please go to the Google Play app and update Sense 10 V.2025.9.2.

I waited a little to reply as I wanted to make sure it seemed to work for everyone.

Sorry about that, but I hope you can use your Sense now. If not, of course, please let me know.

Thanks again!
