Why no notification when solar is down for days?

During the recent strong winter rain storm (Southern California), my 2009 solar system (was Solarcity, now Tesla) developed a ground fault and has been down since (I power cycled the system at night which cleared the fault, but the fault came back as soon as the sun came up :frowning: ). First available service is in > 2 months (end of Jan 2026, which seems silly! They need to hire more techs.)

In any case I would have expected a notification from Sense that there was no solar production for over a week (stuck 24/7 at about -2W, i.e. the consumption of the inverter), but never got any notification. I did not notice that the yellow bubble was gone because I did not look at it during the day.

It would seems useful to get a notification in this scenario so I could have acted sooner. Thanks!

(While I did a forum search prior to posting, it did not return anything similar, but now I got a bunch of “related topic” below this posts that seem to describe the same problem.)

Oh well….
