Schneider Wiser (Green) Monitors Transition

Status report:

1 month since I was told the app team is looking into my login problems I finally get a follow up email.

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue you're experiencing with the SE Home App.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and any delay this may have caused.

I would like to know if you are still having problems with the SE home app.

Thank you,

Warm Regards,

Carl

hah! it still doesn’t login. It pretty much was a useful piece of technology on a rebranded sense app and they (Schneider) turned into a useless piece of technology running on the Schneider app. I also asked him if they wanted to buy back the brick :brick:, I mean monitor.

This guy is just doing his job, but I honestly don’t think Schneider is too concerned with their screw up.

To be honest I haven’t gotten to experience the mess yet as I can’t even get it to connect to my wifi without an error telling me to contact tech support, I’m living the mess vicariously through this forum.

:grimacing:

Yeah, I gave up on waiting for them to fix things and bought a Sense unit which has already found most of my devices. Shame I lost my historical data, but I didn’t want to wait on Schneider to get their act together.

I do see they released an update to the app that made some improvements, so hopefully they keep them coming.

What’s new:

We have added Storage-Only Support for systems without solar. Added Square D Wi-Fi-enabled light switches, dimmers and receptacles support.

Also, we have updated the flow for Energy Monitor onboarding and setup.

Fixes & Improvements:

- More reliable Schneider Energy Monitor live data and recovery after idle periods.

- Improved authentication and account management to prevent unexpected logouts and errors.

- General performance improvements and bug fixes.

Ended up jumping ship from the Wiser app and bought an orange box Sense. Really disappointed that they split the app a while ago, and this is just what sealed the deal.

My 2-years of historical data did finally show up but unfortunately it’s incorrect. Notice the total usage at the top (699kw) is less than the sum of usage by the devices. You really can’t make this stuff up…

I just re-installed my green box (after having to rebuild my house) and I’m having the same disappointing experience as everyone else here. In February of this year Schneider announced a new “Smart Power Manager” application that I would presume is going to replace the “Schneider Home” app. It was planned to be released in August. They are still selling the green box and it is the key component of the Schneider Smart Panel solution for existing QO panel installations, so I cannot imaging they are giving up on this. The green box will tie together the Scheider smart home devices and QO power relays, as well as their Pulse solar/battery integration for whole-home energy management. I’m debating ordering a Sense while I still can or wait out the new application release for a few more weeks.

So I just browsed through the Square D / Schneider website and to my surprise they show the Schneider Pulse panel and Boost inverter & home battery backup system as discontinued.

The Wiser energy monitor and retrofit power relays are still shown as an in-stock product.

The monitor might be in stock but the app to use it is useless.

Earlier in the year I’d sent several questions to my Square D supplier about this Wiser monitor and how it would tie in to some other Square D products as I was rebuilding my house. My supplier forwarded to their rep, and the Schneider rep’s eply included a mention that the Smart Power Manager application that would replace Schneider Home would be released in August. I sent another email to that Schneider rep yesterday to ask if he had any updated info, and he responded that he would try to get some information on it and get back to me.

Any updates on the horrendous Schneider Home App?

Has anyone thought about class action lawsuit here?

My $300 product was turned into a brick…

Schneider should be offering to buy these complete turds back so we can go purchase a Sense!

Great idea, but we won’t be able to purchase a sense box in 2026.

But buying back or getting money back, on the once usable when sense controlled it to the useless watt meter when schneider took it over, would be a wonderful thing.

Huh? The Orange Sense® energy monitor ( really just a transmitter ) would not be replaceable if it were to become unusable (defective)??? meaning that if a utility energy spike or lightening strike were to fry my transmitter, that Sense would not be able to facilitate entering the new units serial number into my existing data history? Really?

@fabricgator1 , a useful update here.
